early intervention centre for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Thane.

Jagruti Palak Sanstha,Thane(Mumbai) - Early intervention centre for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce the good news of setting up of an early intervention centre for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Thane.

This project is a venture of an existing parent body NGO Jagruti Palak Sanstha in Thane supported by Forum for Autism Mumbai and with financial assistance from Johnson & Johnson and technical assistance from Dr.Reena Singh (Khushi for your child) a leading Occupational Therapist in Mumbai

This would be a therapy setup and depending on the age of the kids who register we will decide if they need early intervention or other form of therapy services to children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at Thane and to build sustainable capacity within an existing site of Jagruti Palak Sanstha – a registered parent body NGO operating in Thane.

The centre in the first phase will build a cadre of up to 2 Occupational Therapists and 2 special educators and up to 2 line staff.

The aim is to provide the parents of children with ASD an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and how to manage their kids with ASD through a parental counselling service.

This centre will concentrate on addressing the impairments associated with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders/pervasive developmental disorders (ASD/PDD), including the areas of communication, socialization and restricted and repetitive behaviour

We request you to register your child’s name with the Jagruti Palak Sanstha’s office.

The details of the course and fee structure for the course can be collected from the Jagruti Palak Sanstha’s office between 2pm to 4pm on any working days between Mondays to Friday.

The Sanstha also plans to set up vocational guidance centre and residential set-up for our children in the phase 2 and phase 3 of this project

We request you all to make this project a grand success.

Regards
